This book brought up a lot of interesting questions about memory and right and wrong choices. I enjoyed it very much and am still thinking about it days after finishing.
Okay, I have to say for language, I would give this a 1. My least favorite word in the English language is the F-word, and it's riddled through this book! Ugh, did not enjoy that. The content is very tough to take, too. I chose it because it was on the YALSA YA 2010 best list. I guess what kept me reading was the fact that it had to do with addiction, specifically alcoholism. My grandfather ruined his life with alcohol, as has my uncle and several members of my family on that side. On the up side, it's well-written, and resolved in the end. But it isn't a feel-good story, though there is a positive message.
