Nabokov is astoundingly brilliant. Lolita is one of the best fiction works ever written.
I really enjoyed this one. Sweet story, with some great characters. I really felt for Payton and her situation. I would have been upset, too, at the events that took place and her family’s secrets--not to mention the reason for them. I loved Sean, Payton’s focus notes, Jac (though sometimes she really went too far!), and the cute connection/interaction between Sean and Payton. I really liked the ending and that people were willing to accept responsibility for their actions, attempt explanations, and that there was always hope and forgiveness. Clean read, too, with nothing objectionable. I liked it a lot!!
Er, this just seemed kind of ick. In various ways. I didn't stick around to see if it got any better.
