I read this book in one sitting, on the train from New York to Boston. Lately, I've been having this problem of not being able to find a book that can really keep my attention, but I couldn't put this one down - not even to nap! I've been wanting to read it for awhile, but I thought it might be depressing, so I kept putting it off. But it wasn't. It was beautiful, and hopeful, and interesting - a piece of introspection so human and moving that it's almost as though you're in Didion's mind...and what a great mind it is.
