This is the first x-men comic I was able to read start to finish. I'm new to reading American comics(I used to be a big manga fan but am growing out of it). A comic book store clerk recommended the series to me and I am so glad they did. This comic made me laugh, it made me cry and was far better than I knew any comic could be! The dialogue was very well written, the plot and story was brilliant. It kept me guessing the entire time. I'm not sure I'll ever find a comic this amazing ever again. Astonishing X-Men is worth your time.
